Werchter Boutique will be celebrating the best of modern pop and rock music on Saturday, 8 June 2019. The one-day festival, which takes place in the Festival Park, has snared a few birthday boys and girls for the coming edition. Headliner Fleetwood Mac was established 50 years ago. Snow Patrol is celebrating its 25th anniversary and 2019 is also a special year for Triggerfinger, which was added to the line-up today. The trio marks its 20th anniversary this year and that's being celebrated with special jubilee concerts. Triggerfinger will welcome Fenne Kuppens (Whispering Sons) and Henny Vrienten (Doe Maar, Vreemde Kostgangers, etc.) as guests of honour at Werchter Boutique. Also new to the line-up: The Pretenders. Chrissie Hynde's band is the prototype of a rock band that creates hits. Just think of Brass In Pocket, Kid, Back On The Chain Gang, Don’t Get Me Wrong, I’ll Stand By You and 2000 Miles. Werchter and The Pretenders have a special connection. The same is true of Arsenal. The group has been a fixture at Rock Werchter for years. Arsenal is a cosmopolitan dance machine. John Roan and Hendrik Willemyns search for inspiration in every corner of the world, as long as it's exotic and swinging. Arsenal's reputation for live performances is legendary. Novastar will open Werchter Boutique. For almost a quarter of a century, the Dutch-born performer has been one of the most successful Belgian acts. Joost Zweegers excelled on the main stage of Rock Werchter in 2018. He'll gladly do that again during Werchter Boutique.
