TW Classic 2019
14 Jul 2019 - Festivalpark, Werchter

TW Classic 2019 rolls out its red carpet for rock royalty! Bon Jovi, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees 2018, will headline the one-day festival in Werchter. TW Classic takes place on Sunday 14 July at the Festivalpark. After thousands of sold out shows, it’s clear - Bon Jovi = One Wild Night. This is their first Belgian show since 2011 but the band and Werchter go a long way back. In 1995 and 2001, Bon Jovi played their own huge concerts at the Festivalpark. Bon Jovi will be joined on the bill by John Fogerty. With a career spanning more than 50 years, John Fogerty is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history, known for creating the soundtrack of a generation. More acts for TW Classic 2019 will be added to the line-up later.

Over an illustrious career, spanning more than three decades, Bon Jovi has earned its place among global rock royalty. With over 130 million albums sold worldwide, an extensive catalogue of hit anthems and more than 2,800 concerts performed in 50 countries for more than 35 million fans, Bon Jovi is the consummate rock and roll band. The band now features Bon Jovi originals David Bryan and Tico Torres alongside Jon, plus long time bassist Hugh McDonald, co-producer and co-songwriter John Shanks, multi-instrumentalist Everett Bradley and lead guitarist Phil X, who joined the band on that 2013 tour. “We’ve become a new, rejuvenated Bon Jovi,” says Jon, “A refreshed line up that kills every night. We sound better than ever and we’re enjoying every minute. We are out there as a band, feeding off each other and the fans, having the time of our lives all over again.” This tour places the spotlight firmly on the music and the songs, the body of work that has propelled Bon Jovi to over 130 million record sales. The band is ready with a choice of around 95 songs that they can change up every night, but have also been playing their all time classics like You Give Love A Bad Name, It’s My Life, Wanted Dead Or Alive, Bad Medicine, Who Says You Can’t Go Home, Keep the Faith, Always, Have A Nice Day and of course, Livin’ On A Prayer. Jon Bon Jovi is looking forward to the upcoming show at TW Classic: "There’s nothing better than playing those outdoor shows to thousands of our fans. We can't wait to see you all.”

With a career spanning more than 50 years, John Fogerty is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history, known for creating the soundtrack of a generation. As co-founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, the group’s chief musical architect, and as a solo artist, Fogerty’s works rank as some of the most influential in American music history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including Born on the Bayou, Green River, Proud Mary, and Bad Moon Rising, Fogerty has been honoured as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone. His heralded live show continues to rock-out to sold-out audiences through his active tour schedule. John Fogerty is a music legend, very alive, amazing to watch live.

ABOUT TW CLASSIC: The TW Classic festival uses a tried and tested recipe. It all harks back to the way we did things in Werchter until 1994: a beautiful summer’s day, a single stage in the festivalpark, a great, high-spirited audience and a select group of artists with an impressive track record. In the meantime, TW Classic has itself become classic. Resounding names like The Rolling Stones, The Police, Bryan Adams, Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Phil Collins, Elton John, Texas, Editors, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and Guns N' Roses have already adorned the festival bill. TW Classic 2019 takes place on Sunday 14 July at the Festivalpark in Werchter, Belgium.
